Who Am I?
Nurturing Creative Minds
Not only am I music educator, I am also a performer. I love to share my passion for music with as many people as possible, whether that is through teaching or performing. I was the principal flute and piccolo player in Lake Macquarie Winds but I now play in the University of Newcastle Arts Orchestra and Orchestra Nova. I also perform and create music by myself, I love to compose songs and create covers in my spare time.Â
As a music educator I strive to be a diligent and attentive individual who endeavours to educate young minds in the field of music. I set goals for my students to achieve, pushing them to enhance their abilities and address their challenges. Through my vibrant, upbeat personality, I aim to create a safe and enjoyable space for my students to learn, be creative and reach their full potential in. I work to nurture creative minds encouraging them to think out of the box and to apply problem solving skills within personalised tasks.
I am one of the 2022 Kathy Rogers' Teachers Scholarship recipients, Thank you FlutePlay for this opportunity. I am so excited and so honoured to be part of this amazing community and the opportunities that it will bring to Flute with Alyssa. Little Flutes is something I have always been interested in and now I am learning strategies to provide flute lessons to even younger students.
